The MindShaped concept

The MindShaped Pyramid – Two Paths, One Future

The MindShaped pyramid visualizes two very different ways of thinking about work life, well-being and performance. One is the old way – characterized by control, KPIs and pressure. The other is the modern way – where wellbeing, values and human development drive results.

The pyramid consists of five layers, with each layer building on the previous one. Each side of the pyramid shows how choices at the bottom shape the culture and results at the top.

Where do you stand today?

The pyramid is not just a model – it’s a mirror. It shows how small choices in everyday life create big consequences for both well-being and results.

At MindShaped, we help you move from left to right. Not with more KPIs – but with a clear core mission, strong values and a human focus that lasts.

Left side: The traditional approach – When pressure replaces opinion

1. Stress instead of structure
This is where everyday life starts in chaos. Lack of overview and unclear roles create uncertainty. Instead of calm and direction, stress and firefighting come as standard.

2. Superficial values and rigid governance
When values only exist in PowerPoints, rules and control become the rules of the day. Employees feel like cogs – not co-creators.

3. Negative culture and top-down management
Management is top-down. Mistakes are punished, not used for learning. Innovation is stifled and employees look out for themselves, not each other.

4. Well-being as a luxury good
Wellbeing is seen as something that can be taken care of when there is time. But there is rarely time. The result is burnout, low loyalty and high turnover.

5. Performance through pressure
Here, performance is all about KPIs and metrics – regardless of how they affect people. Short-term results are prioritized over long-term sustainability.

Right side: The modern approach – When well-being creates results

1. Staying on top of things creates calm and energy
A clear foundation of structure, aligned expectations and transparent communication allows for focus, ownership and job satisfaction.

2. Values that live in everyday life
When your organization’s values are clear, meaningful and actionable, they become a guide for both leadership and collaboration.

3. A culture built on trust and involvement
Culture is not something you have – it’s something you do. Through genuine recognition and shared ownership, a culture grows where people dare to evolve.

4. Wellbeing as a strategic lever
Wellbeing isn’t a nice-to-have – it’s a prerequisite for innovation, collaboration and strong performance. Here, employees take responsibility for each other.

5. Performance that stems from meaning and motivation
When people work with something they believe in and in an environment that supports them, results follow naturally. Not through pressure – but through passion.
